Fluvastatin also inhibits induction of the LDL receptor on HepG2 cells at a concentration of 0.1-1.0 μM. Research shows that fluvastatin can inhibit the formation of TBA-reactive substances in Fe(II)-supported peroxidation of liposomes (IC50 = 12 μM).Competitive HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor (IC 50 = 40 - 100 nM in human and rat microsomes).
