Shown to be effective in preventing mammary tumors induced by radiation together with DES, possibly by reducing prolactin and triglyceride concentrations. Bezafibrate is an activator of PPARα, PPARβ, PPARγ and LPL.Pan-PPAR agonist (EC 50 values are 50, 60 and 20 μM at PPARα, PPARγ and PPARδ human receptors respectively). More efficient than fenofibrate in reducing body weight and blood glucose.
